Mr. Anwar Faruque holds a Master Degree in Public Administration from Harvard, USA. A member of Bangladesh Civil Service Administration Cadre, Mr. Faruque had been in government service throughout his long career during which he held various important positions in different ministries – such as the Ministry of Relief and Rehabilitation, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Agriculture etc. He retired as Secretary, Ministry of Public Administration. During his tenure with the Ministry of Agriculture he gathered extensive knowledge and experience in the agricultural sector ranging from technology dissemination, , rural economic development, policy formulation etc. Post retirement he is engaged as a consultant to a number of foreign donor funded projects related to the agricultural sector including in AMPS.
