Dr. M. Helal Uddin Ahmed completed his M. Sc. from the Department of Applied Physics and Electronics, University of Dhaka in 1998. He then went on to get an MBA degree from the Abertay University, Dundee, Scotland. He later obtained a Ph. D. in Computer Engineering from Kyung Hee University, South Korea. Dr. Helal started his teaching career as a Lecturer at the Department of Computer Engineering, The People’s University of Bangladesh, but soon shifted to the Department of MIS, University. He has been associated there in the capacity of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Student Advisor and Program Director over the years before reaching the position of Professor and Chairman of the Department since 2016. Dr. Helal is an Associate Member of Bangladesh Computer Society, a Member of Bureau of Business Research, University of Dhaka and an Honorary Member of Dhaka University of IT Society (DUITS). He is also an Editorial Member of Dhaka University Journal of Business Studies, Bangladesh Journal of MIS, Bangladesh Social Science Review and International Journal of Education and Knowledge Management (IJEKM). Dr. Helal also has numerous publications and conference papers to his name in many national and international journals and magazines.
