The International Maize and Wheat Improvement Centre (CIMMYT) works throughout the developing world to improve livelihoods and foster more productive, sustainable maize and wheat farming to overcome food insecurity and malnutrition, climate change and environmental degradation. CIMMYT contributes to collaborative research. It promotes partnerships, and provides training. CIMMYT works to build and strengthen a new generation of national agricultural research and extension services in Bangladesh and other countries.
