ActionAid Bangladesh
ActionAid came to Bangladesh in 1983 to support an orphanage in Bhola named 'For Those Who Have Less' (locally known as 'Bittohin'). Today ActionAid is committed to change the capacities of people and groups whose rights have been denied and violated. ActionAid works of attaining justice and a life of dignity. ActionAid Bangladesh also assists efforts and builds capacities of civil society and partner communities’ whom we believe are engaged in safeguarding and promoting people’s rights. It works with with the poor and excluded. It is engaged in eradicating poverty and injustice. ActionAid visions a world without poverty and injustice in which every person enjoys their right to a life with dignity. The SRAMIC project of ActionAid was set-off in January 2016 with the objective to strengthen the organizational and technical capacity of the Civil Society Organizations and labour representatives, especially unionizing and empowering the women workers engaged in 950 garment factories and 50 tannery and leather plants in Dhaka and Chittagong.
AMPS developed a training manual for the SRAMIC project. The subject matter of the manual was Financial management, HR Management, Documentation and Fundraising to build the skills and the capacity of the trade unions and other labor organization.
