Professor Chowdhury Golam Kibria was a graduate of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at Dhaka University (DU). He also took a diploma from the Population Science Department of DU. Additionally, he is a Microsoft Certified Professional. Chowdhury Golam Kibria started his career at Pacific Industries in 1990. He then moved to BEXIMCO and afterwards served at CARE Bangladesh. He has been teaching at the Institute of Business Administration of Jahangirnagar University since 1995.

In addition to full-time teaching and contributing to developing young business professionals for the country, Chowdhury Golam Kibria has provided consultancy services to KPMG Rahman Rahman & Huq, the World Bank, CARE Bangladesh; UNICEF, International Finance Corporation (IFC), International Development Enterprises (IDE), Social Marketing Company, SightSavers Bangladesh, Sesame Workshop Inc; Jamuna Bank Capital Management Limited, The City Bank Limited, etc. His area of expertise includes; MIS Analysis, Monitoring and Evaluation Research, Corporate Governance and Industry Competitiveness and Business Management.
